Frankie...the cat? :-)

Parker and I follow Patsy's advice and take several walks a day. I've been trying for 3 with 2 being 10-15 minutes and 1 being 30 minutes, but I usually feel pretty good about myself when I do just the 2 10-15 minute ones. ;-)

The excercise prescription is a hard one to get going. I recommend a few step process that is currently working for me.

1. Get a dog.

2. Have that said dog have her own brand of The Crazy that requires an insane amount of excercise.

3. Realize that you have to leave her alone at home for 10 hrs a day while you earn money. And that it could be a problem.

4. Get up early before you have to work and walk 30 minutes. Every day. Because if you don't, she will wake you up with constant whining about wanting to take a walk, EVERYDAY.

I have successfully been on this program for a month now. You get used to getting up that 30 minutes earlier really quickly. I think adding running in a few times a week will come very soon.

Good luck!

*shakes head*

I've let you down as a friend, as I can see I've neglected to take you to Dad Watson's when you're in town.

McMenamin's is a ... I hesitate to call it a chain or a franchise, since that doesn't capture the feel of each place. Subway is a franchise, and they're all pretty much the same. McMenamin's is a series of pubs and hotels (with pubs in them), but each one of them is different. They restore historic buildings, celebrate the history of the place, and fill it with brewpubs and unique hotel rooms.

Uh, look at the photos. By the time they're all posted, you'll see a theme, but note that they're all different. And next time you're in town, we're going to Dad's, and maybe the Six Arms.

Not events, but cities the trip is taking you to and dates?

Plus, what the heck is a McMenamin's? Yes, I could Google it, but I'm lazy. :-)
